Five on Friday

Yay Friday is finally here!! The weather this week has been amazing and it has taken so much will power to not go plop myself in a chaise at my new apartment's pool! I've been trying to get lots of work done this week because I will hopefully be able to do that early next week- see #5! :)

1. Vendue Rooftop is back open!

There has been a lot of construction happening on Vendue Range St. this fall/winter as they renovate the hotel and the rooftop bar. I was so excited when I walked past yesterday though and saw this sign- the rooftop bar is back open! Many good times have been had here and I can't wait for many more! If you are in Charleston, this is always a fun place to visit for a beautiful sunset, great views, and fun drinks!

2. Amanda Bee Nautical Print Monogram

Amanda Bee does it again! The other day she posted this nautical flag design and was willing to add a monogram for the first few people to contact her. As you all know, I love a good nautical flag action so of course this colorful version really caught my eye. I can't wait to see what else she has in store this spring! (Side-note: Amanda is the brains behind the Sweet Tea Monograms logo and my apartment is scattered with some of her work- I'll share more on that later!)

3. Sincerely Jules Tees

I stumbled upon the pineapple tee on Pinterest yesterday and thought it would be such a fun tee to pair with colorful shorts in the summer! Unfortunately the pineapple one was sold out but I looked for other Sincerely Jules tees to see what else was available. So many of my favorite things put onto tees! Sadly the flamingo tee is sold out as well but the Lifesaver and Cali Palms still have a couple sizes left!

4. Pretty in Pink Tote Bags

This past week, I finished up an order of personalized pink canvas boat totes for a bride and her bridesmaids and loved the way they turned out! Instead of doing monograms since many of her bridesmaids aren't married, she had their names written out which I think look so pretty! I'm trying to really focus on great monogrammed bridesmaid gifts since I have so many friends getting married this year, let me know if y'all have anything you'd like to see in the Sweet Tea Monograms shop!

5. Naples!!!

I had planned to drive up to Richmond next week for a doctor appointment and to see my family, but since I get to see my family soon for Easter and I will be up in Richmond soon for friend's wedding festivities, I decided to postpone the trip. When I told my boyfriend this news, he reminded me he was traveling to Naples for work early next week and I jumped at the opportunity to tag along! If y'all have any recommendations for some fun things to do and see while he's in meetings all day, I would love to hear! I'm really just looking forward to walking around town and brushing up on my photography skills!

P.S. Anyone interested in this Lilly Pulitzer Garnet Hill shower curtain? In true Heather fashion, I ordered because it was 1) on sale 2) Lilly - but I've since decided to try to make a shower curtain from a sheet that matches my bedding. I'm selling it for what I paid $28, plus $6 to ship it. Let me know if you're interested before I send it back to Garnet Hill!

Have a great weekend! xo, Heather

  1. You should consider adding "work-out" tanks/tops to your shop! I would totally get one for my half-marathon training!

  2. You can visit the C.CORRICO in Naples on 13th ave ;). There is also a big Island Company store I think you would like and I think they opened a Lilly store somewhere in Naples too. For fun jewelry go to The Best Of Everything on 5th ave- very inexpensive but cute stuff (during season you see all these rich old ladies going nuts in there- everyone loves it!). For restaurants, try Yabba (Caribbean), Pazzo (Italian), and Chops steakhouse- all owned by the same people and all yummy (all on 5th ave). Have fun!
