Five on Friday

Happy happy Friday- I hope everyone's week has gone well! Mine flew by after being in Naples for a couple days (I'll be posting more about that soon!) and now it's time to start another working weekend. I have a feeling it may be tough to stay motivated since it's suppose to be beautiful weather and the Farmer's Market starts up again Saturday at Marion Square and this Sunday is Second Sunday on King Street!

1. Lilly Pulitzer "Crystal Coast" Spring Delivery

The newest Lilly Pulitzer spring delivery is out in stores and I am loving all of the beautiful blue and white prints! As much as I love a good pink and green Lilly print, the blue and white ones are the ones that show up in my closet more often. Lilly has done a great job of making some great "everyday" dresses this spring that a perfect to just throw on with a pair of Jack Rogers or Miller sandals (my "everyday" sandals in the summer!)

Anyone else loving that "Nice Tail" mermaid print as much as me? The colors remind me so much of the Stuffed Shells print from summers past!

2. Charleston Race Week

Today is the first day of the Sperry Topsider Charleston Race Week! I don't know a whole lot about the race but I love watching the sailboats in the harbor and was able to watch some yesterday down at the Waterfront Park. I would love to do some research and participate in some of the events that take place in the upcoming years! Any event sponsored by Sperry and Vineyard Vines sounds like a fun one to me! In the meantime, I'll be following along with the Vineyard Vines Instagram and Charleston Race Week's Instagram for some great pics!

3. Azaleas & Allergies

Spring has finally sprung in Charleston and I am loving all of the sweet smells and of the beautiful new blooms! Unfortunately this means my allergies are also back... last spring was the first time I really experienced allergies since I spent almost my whole life in Virginia and became "immune to spring" up there. I love this weather so of course I love to spend as much time outside (or inside with open windows) but not without the consequences of headaches, itchy eyes, and a tickle in my throat. Anyone have a great allergy remedies? I have a jar of Palmetto Honey that I'm about to start eating by the spoonful! I will say though, I am pretty positive that the benefits of springtime and the beautiful azaleas blooming all over the city definitely outweigh those nasty little allergy symptoms any day!

4. Time for some golf!

It's that time of the year again where I download the PGA Tour app on my phone and start following some golf! The Masters is this week and next week in the RBC Heritage in Hilton Head. I'm so excited to head down Thursday night and catch a few days of golf with my family at Harbour Town!

5. Life is not a dress rehearsal

I saw this quote on Pinterest the other day and it reminded me of a quote my mom always says, "life is not a dress rehearsal." It's such a great reminder to enjoy and celebrate the little moments in life. I just started Cold Tangerines by Shauna Niequist, which is all about "celebrating the extraordinary nature of everyday life." I'm only about a third of the way through the book, but I highly recommend it!

Have a great weekend y'all!

Xo, Heather
