I was reminiscing on our honeymoon in Antigua this morning and stumbled upon this photo (below!) of my favorite tassel beach tote! I've seen so many cute ones lately that I have wanted to buy, and then I remember that I already have one! ;) (Please tell me I'm not the only one that does this?!)
I had been eyeing this Vineyard Vines tote all summer and when I popped in to the King Street store right before our wedding and saw that it was on sale, I knew I had to scoop it up! Unfortunately this one isn't available anymore but I did a little searching and found some others that are very similar. This one is my favorite and under $40! Or you could always go the DIY route which I really want to try!
A little over a week ago I went to Palm Beach with my family for my brother's spring break. It was such a great family getaway and way to celebrate my brother's birthday a little early. It also happened to be the perfect place to break out one of my favorite new Lilly Pulitzer dresses for spring!
I shared this photo of the dress during the Lunch at Lilly promotion that was going on a little bit ago but wanted to feature it again because I just love it that much! The material has UPF 50 (like SPF but for clothing) built in so you're protected from the skin without having to worry about reapplying the SPF everywhere. I've mentioned before how much I love UPF dresses (you can read that post here) because of my family's history with skin cancer so when I saw that Lilly was making them, I was over the moon!
I love the colors in the dress too, but then I think I always love anything pink and turquoise like this! The Sophie dress is definitely a more fitted style than some other long sleeve dresses like the Marlowe but I personally like that. I'm wearing a small in this dress, though probably could have gone with the medium as well (fit reference: I'm 5'10" and typically wear a 4 in Lilly dresses.) Also the fact that it is long enough on me is definitely an added bonus!
Fun fact- Lilly Pulitzer's first started selling her dresses right around here on Via Mizner off of Worth Avenue! [Here's a photo of her in her first store!] I love this little alley and all of the European inspired architecture around Worth Ave.
Skinny piƱa coladas out of an actual coconut! Does it get any better?! ;)
St. Patrick's day is tomorrow and in Savannah, that's a big deal! There's a huge parade and they even turn the fountains green for the week! I've been thinking about the color green all week and can't wait to pick out my St. Patrick's day attire!
One of the biggest promotions of the year for Lilly Pulitzer is here- for today only! There are some amazing gifts with purchase and so many pretty spring pieces out that it could make it pretty easy to get to that top level to get one of the exclusive Lilly bikes! If you've been following along in Instagram, you'll see I've worn lots of Lilly this week in Palm Beach so I'm sharing some of my favorite new items as well as a few other favorite spring dresses!
This top is supposed to be worn off the shoulder but I wasn't crazy about that style on me so I sized up to a large and am able to wear it on my shoulders. The large also gives me a little extra length which I'm always needing.
This week, like many warm weather days, I practically live in my Callahan shorts! I love this new Oh Shello print because there are so many different fun colors tops to wear with them. I think this Casa Banana print might be my next purchase!
You may have seen on Instagram that I posed about how much I loved the idea of this wrap romper, but wasn't sure about how it looked on me. I decided it was just too short for me (mostly in the back) and a little low cut in the front. It has looked so cute on so many other people that I so badly wanted to like it!
I love the colors of this pretty silk top! It's great with a cardigan now and was the perfect pop of color with white jeans the other night for dinner.
As the temps have warmed up, I've been practically living in these shorts! I went up a size because I don't like my shorts tight and though they're a little baggy, I'd rather have them that way anyday! These shorts have pockets which is perfect for running errands or walking the dog!
Today I'm piggybacking on yesterday's Palm Beach State of Mind by sharing a recently found design crush: Palm Beach based Luxe Report Designs. I opened up my Pinterest feed the other day and found this amazing picture and had to click and find more! LRD was featured on the Palm Beach Lately blog last year where they shared their design philosophy that includes "embracing old Palm Beach glamour, while maintaining a current sophistication by incorporating clean, modern lines and bold, but simpler color palette."
