Fourth of July Weekend Recap

The Fourth of July is one of my favorite holidays and since last year, Robbie and I have had another reason to celebrate because it was when he asked me to be his girlfriend and we spent the weekend with his family at the beach! We wanted to celebrate our first anniversary together with our families at the beach again this year as well!

Because I love putting together a good themed gift basket, I thought a red, white, and blue themed basket would be an appropriate gift for Robbie for our anniversary. I picked up a basket and started filling it with all kinds of goodies including this bottle of red wine, some 4th of July cups and napkins from Swoozies (all on sale now if you want to stock up for next year!), a Vineyard Vines T-shirt, and a Sweet Tea Monograms PFG shirt with his initials in nautical flags and the coordinates of Charleston.

Dinner at the Charleston Crab House overlooking to Wapoo Creek

Friday morning we got on the road to Hilton Head but not without a stop for doughnuts and coffee on the way!

Loving life at the brand new Sea Pines Beach Club!

Playing with Lilly & Maggie, my family's goldendoodles!

We made some red, white, and blue sangria to enjoy with our 4th of July goodies from Swoozies and an attempt at this Pinterest fruit kabob flag!

Lator gator!

We all headed out to the 18th green at Harbour Town for fireworks!

So glad to spend some quality time with my family!

Playing with sparklers before the fireworks started! My brother snapped this cool shot with his camera using a slower shutter speed.

Mom and I after lunch at the Plantation Club with Robbie's family. We clearly have very similar tastes- these matching outfits were not planned!

  1. Looks like a fun weekend! Love the basket you made Robbie...I'm tempted to pick up some of the stemless wine glasses from Swoozie's for July 4th next year...how fun!
