Weekend on King Street (Part 2!)

Sunday morning we headed down to King Street again for Second Sunday, where the street is closed down to cars and where restaurants, musicians, and many of the retailers will set up tables and displays right on the street. It was another beautiful day so we figured we would take full advantage of all the activities (and prime people watching!) Our first stop was for brunch at Kitchen 208 where I tried their Sunday special, the Turtle Sundae Waffle which was SO yummy (no surprise- I have a huge sweet tooth!)

After a little bit of shopping, we needed to refuel again with some sugary goodness (anyone sensing a sugar theme for the weekend?!) and discovered this fun little French Chocolate Cafe down Society Street right off of King. I never knew this place existed but they have some of the cutest little chocolate and yay- macarons!

{The Battery}

After all of the snacking and shopping, we decided to walk down King Street towards The Battery and to check out all of the charming houses and gardens South of Broad.

I finished off the weekend with a nice walk down to the Battery again at sunset. I could tell it was going to be a beautiful one so I got down there as quickly as I could with my camera! All of the colors in the sky looked like a cotton candy watercolor and I loved the way it reflected on the Charleston Harbor. What a gorgeous way to end a weekend!
