Tuesday was my first full day in Naples, and like I mentioned in yesterday's post- I took TONS of pictures so I'm going to let the photos do most of the talking today! I knew there were chances of thunderstorms later in the afternoon, so I wanted to get out and go as early as I could to explore the city!
When I had traveled to Naples in year's past with my family, we had gone to some restaurants in the Bayfront area and I remember the buildings being so pretty and colorful. I walked down to this area to snap some photos but unfortunately there wasn't a whole lot going on in the area (it was still pretty early in the morning) so I didn't stay too long.
I walked back down to the 5th Avenue area and browsed through some of the shops there. I loved everything in FantaSea, all of the cute beachy signs and home decor could have easily come home with me! The Cape Madras store was also too cute, with anything and everything madras. I kept heading down 5th Avenue until I saw signs for the 3rd Street shops so I turned down and headed that way!
Some of the beautiful homes I past by on the way to the shops. Love all of the gorgeous bougainvillea!

Top Right: Island Company (such a fun store, to get you in the "island spirit" they even have a rum bar inside!)

After venturing down to the pier and around a few more shops, I was definitely ready for some lunch. My family and I had eaten at Tommy Bahama's years ago and it was our favorite! Since it was just little ole me for lunch, I found a seat at the little bar nook and ordered a refreshing "Zero Proof" Faux-jito and their amazing fish tacos! They were even better than I remembered, and served with a side of coconut and plantains- made me feel like I was in the islands! I found the recipe for the fish tacos on their website and hope to make my own version soon!
After lunch I started to head back to 5th Avenue... which was just at the right time as I turned the corner and saw the storm clouds were rolling in. I was able to make it about 3 minutes away from the hotel before it started coming down!
Once the rain started, it wasn't going to let up anytime soon so I spent the rest of the afternoon in the gym and then relaxing around the hotel before Robbie had finished up with his meetings. How gorgeous are these chandeliers?! I love the molding and dark beams on the ceiling too!
We ended up eating dinner at Yabba Island Grill since it was the closest to our hotel and still raining (but thank you for all of the great recommendations on Instagram!) It turned out to be great choice and we had some more delicious seafood. I ordered the Rasta Pasta, which was one of the best shellfish pastas I've had! I also highly recommend the Island Princess Champagne Cocktail. :)
