Life Lately: November 2016

Hi friends! I feel like I have been away from this wonderful creative space of mine for much longer than planned but I'm excited to be back and posting often again for the holiday season- my favorite time of the year!! Life has been a little busy lately but it's been the best kind of busy... with a new job that I love!

I briefly mentioned it in this post, but if you've been following along on Instagram or Snapchat (heathb115) I've joined the team at Emily McCarthy and have been loving every minute! I was a little worried at first what it would be like transitioning back from being my own boss and making my own hours to having a real boss and working real work hours but Emily is wonderful to work for and my hours are still somewhat flexible. Working with a team has been the biggest change for the better because I felt like I was starting to get stuck in a rut earlier this year and now that I'm around other creative women, I feel like I'm really getting those creative juices flowing again!

We are kind of an "all hands on deck" kind of team where we all give a little in a lot of different places so whenever anyone asks what it is that I do, it's a little hard to describe because it changes daily! For the most part, I work on managing/uploading items on our website, shipping out online orders, hosting shoppe events and assisting our shoppe guests, and my favorite... taking lots of styled photos for our social media!
If you aren't familiar with the Emily McCarthy brand, check it all out online here! We have so many fun things for the holidays right now... a few of my favorites are the personalized frosted cups and cocktail napkins for any holiday party, the personalized ginger jar gift wrap, and these personalized stemless wine glass sets! I also can't get enough of these Sugarfina "Yes Way Rosé" candy sets!

Other than work, I celebrated my last birthday of my twenties a couple weeks ago and we had an oyster roast at our house!

We had oysters (of course), I made the easiest Crockpot meatballs, some friends brought some other dips (buffalo chicken dip is always a crowd favorite!) and we had ingredients for s'mores by the firepit in our backyard! It was finally the first cool night of fall and it was so much fun to celebrate with some of our new and old Savannah friends and family!

So thankful for these gals (and everybody else!!) that came to help me celebrate!

This weekend, Robbie and I are headed to Athens for a UGA football game with his work. We're going with some friends that are huge Georgia fans so I'm excited to get a taste of a little SEC football! A few weeks ago, I did a shoot with Andrea in my best red and black Georgia tailgate colors and used our "Go Dawgs" tailgate cups and just realized I never shared these so what better time than now! ;)

 STAY IN TOUCH!
